AIMS AND SCOPE
Revista Portuguesa de Oncologia (RPO)- Journal of the Portuguese Society of Oncology is a publication of the Sociedad Portuguesa de Oncologia (SPO). Published since 2012, RPO aims to provide useful and credible information on oncology news through the publication of original articles, review articles, clinical cases, images in oncology, pharmacoeconomic studies, health services research, special articles, and letters to the editor, as well as the approach to the scientific and training activities that SPO develops.
About the SPO
The SPO is a scientific, non-profit association. Founded on October 29, 1982, it aims to promote and carry out training activities and scientific sessions, study and research in the field of oncology, and collaborate and communicate with other private and public entities.
With approximately 815 members, these areas play a fundamental role in strengthening dialogue within the medical community, integrating new professionals and young specialists into the dynamics of our Society, and establishing close relationships with other work groups related to oncology.
Manuscripts submitted to RPO must comply with the norms of the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals, created by the International Committee of Medical Journals Editors (ICMJE), updated in December 2021, available online in http://www.icmje.org/icmje-recommendations.pdf.
